Grew up in Barton and came back to visit after about fifteen years. The first thing I wanted was fish and chips. I used to come to this chippy as a kid, and though it’s changed owners I reckon this beats everything I’ve had in London and the south and then anything all over the world. The haddock was fresh and tasty, the batter airy and crispy, the chips perfection, but the biggest surprise was the curry. It’s proper homemade Indian dal sabzi! Bal is the greatest chef i have ever seen, the fish and chips were so delicious, and I have not stopped talking about them to every single person that I have come across. Highly recommend.
