Always busy, because it's very good affordable fish and chips. Super big cod and super service. Slightly over done cod but no real complaints.

Visited based on such positive reviews. Lovely, friendly service. Fish and chips completely underwhelming. I'd argue that the previous patrons have suffered from long covid. Chips were brown and tasted like the oil needed changing. Fish was fishy, batter the thick claggy type that absorbs the oil (and see previous) the way bad fried bread does.

It's a chip shop BUT the fish and chips.. Possibly the best in town.The pukka pie was cooked perfectly.Big fish serving, and an unhealthy amount of chips.. Loved it.Once a month treat.

This is without doubt the best fish and chips shop in Grantham. The quality of the food is consistently good and the prices don't fluctuate much unlike some of the other chip shops.
After hearing more than good things about Cecil St Fish Bar, we had an excuse to drop in & get the family dinner.Cod, haddock, batter sausages and chips for all, with lashings of (superb) curry sauce and excellent mushy peas.Lovely staff, everything cooked fresh & mouth-watering fabulous.
