Can't thank Becky and her team enough for a fantastic experience & brilliant service (on the 10.02.24). Cracking communication before our visit, so warm and welcoming, the food was absolutely yummy too! Would highly recommend! ?

We were a large party and the staff were amazing. The food was great and the birthday girl had a little bottle of free fizz.

It's a lovely pub that's dog friendly. The staff are friendly, and the Sunday roast is delicious.

Lovely local. Food interesting and tasty, good portion sizes and plenty of choice. We are very lucky to have such a great pub in our village.

Visited here for pre-Christmas Sun lunch with family. First visit for all of us and were very impressed. Table was ready on arrival opposite a real fire. Staff attentive and friendly. Excellent choice of food and came to table quickly. All meats were tasty and had plenty of gravy on plate. Separate portions of vegetables were served and extra carrots were delivered swiftly. Not all of us had desserts, but those who did were very happy. Overall a pleasant visit to a quaint pub with excellent food. We would all recommend this place and plan to visit again soon.

Work Christmas lunch and the majority disappointed with the food. The festive turkey dinner was ok but portions small compared to what we’ve had at other local pub restaurants. The pork belly was very dry and the vegetarian wellington swimming in a tomato sauce. Not enough veg for nine people although they had set our table for 7 people so that may be why. Had to ask for the extra such as cranberry sauce. The chocolate pudding was far too rich and needed ice cream. Ended up 3 people sharing it.Issued paying the deposit as called twice and no one knew how to take a payment. On the day the balance was much higher than it should have been do I had to worry the bill. The log for is beautiful and provides a cozy atmosphere and the staff are friendly. Sadly, for us it was the food that was disappointing.

We visited on 3rd December and was warmly welcomed and had a lovely meal. All nice food and staff friendly and nice to talk to. Nice and cosy pub, clean and if only we lived closer we be in more often!

Saturday lunchtime. Both our “specials” were excellent. Nicely presented, delicious and good sized portions. Decent beer. Friendly, efficient staff. Well worth a visit.
