Our first visit here and can’t wait to come back. I’m a little biased towards game as I pick up with my gundog during the season. But three game dishes to choose from?! Unheard of. I opted for the ballotine of pheasant with cranberry stuffing, wrapped in bacon and served with the most delicious red wine sauce. Creamy mash and three veg came with the dish for a ridiculous £14. Incredible value. It was the best pub meal I’ve had in years and was better than a Christmas dinner....read full review

Lovely lunch with friends. Didn’t book but luckily they fitted us in. Good food well cooked snd good choice. Had pheasant ballotine very tasty. Fresh veg and buttery mash! Will be back.
