Just could have done with more held hot food. When we visited there wasn't much let and it was before 1pm.

Queues are always very long it can take 20 mins plus standing in queues it would be nice to have more staff serving it's usually clean but for the past couple if times I've noticed customer tables not being cleaned and cleared. It needs more staff to be serving I also think its needs more uplifting as well more tables are needed and more cleaners inside. The thing with Gregg's it's right oppersite another cafe the bakers they also do cup cakes tea coffees etc I find it a bit of competition to many of Gregg's Cooperland and other cafes nearby as well as McDonald's as well just few meters away maybe it's in the wrong place in freshney place the last time i was there there was queues outside the door I ended up having to go else where queues massive

We went here today at around 15:00, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, two ladies were serving behind the counter with one other lady clearing the tables etc. Firstly, whose idea is to collect your tray with your food and and beverages on at the serving hatch which has all the dirty pots etc on a trolly about ten centimetres stacked below the serving hatch? Not only is it very unhygienic, but watch out that you don’t get leftovers all over your clothes with having to lean over the dirty pots. Next, the cafe wasn’t very busy, and I wouldn’t class 15:00 as a ‘peak’ time, the tables and seating area was an absolute mess, crumbs and food all over, not only on the tables and floors, but on the seats too, the bins overflowing with rubbish, what really did wind us up was the amount of waste from using paper cups with plastic lids?? All these are just dumped in the one bin??? I don’t believe for one moment that someone goes through all this rubbish separating the plastic lids from the paper cups? What about recycling? It was an absolute mess in there, more like a cheap truckers cafe than a high street cafe which usually has a good name. I want to make it quite clear that this didn’t appear to be down to the staff, no one that works there was stood around chatting, like I mentioned earlier, one lady was working on her own to try clear the mess, and two were busy at the counter serving, perhaps invest in more staff? Unfortunately we won’t be going again due to the lack of hygiene and the risk of getting food on our clothes, not a pleasant experience, well done to the staff for putting up with doing the job that at least 5 people should be doing

Gregg's Freshney Place is quite small so it often has very large queues. The staff work quick and a very optimistic and they restock the hot section quickly regularly. The restaurant itself is a bit small and the tables don't tend to be cleaned on a timely basis.

We went for a light lunch, the hot chicken bacon sandwich was good, potato wedges and donut were fine but the coffee was best described as a cup of hot brown. Stick to the food & snacks and all is well, grab a juice bottle if you need a drink, your taste buds will thank you.

Staff are very friendly, really good food, plenty of seating, well lit area. Only thing that I would change, no plates for food, all food served on pieces of paper on tiny trays. Otherwise great place.
