Used to be a weekly regular but prices have increased, quality and portions have decreased. Overall it’s been hit and miss for a while but what was originally the odd miss is now seems to be the odd hit. Thought we’d give it another try after 2-3 months but unfortunately this will now be the last unless quality is

Best chip shop I've ever

Sadly I wouldn't recommend it due to inadequate provision for dietary requirements.I'm sure their regular fish and chips etc are great though so hence 3 stars. Please note additional comments.Dietary restrictions: Gf option is fish fried without batter. Sadly this leaves the fish without moisture as batter seals the meat so it 'steams'. The first attempt resulted in pieces and credit due to them rejecting it and trying again. I was given the first for free and gave it to my dog.Sadly in order to have vinegar (non-brewed condiment) I had to buy a bottle for £1.70! They only have malt vinegar on the counter which is a hazard for coeliacs.

Used to be good under the old management but not anymore. Fish is extremely thin, prices rose up with the new management. Chips are not as soft and tasty as before. And the guy that fries it all gives the most weird vibe I've ever experienced in a fish and chip shop. Looks like he hates working there and everything he fries is an inconvenience to him! Horncastle has no good fish and chip shops anymore, advice is drive on by to somewhere else like skegness, spilsby or Louth for some decent chippy tea

The internet says opens at 4 o'clock, so we drove 7 miles to get fish and chips only to read on the door that they were closed on Sundays during the winter months. How difficult is it to add this important information on the Internet?

Very good fish and chips, was a much needed meal after a long day out and about. Hot and fresh, would recommend.

Visiting our son and just called in for 1 x fish and chips small curry sauce just under £10.smallest fish ever very expensive we live on the outskirts of Sheffield and would get a super large gear fish for that price. Will not go again very expensive not value for money 12 dec. My husband got this for me. If I had been there I would not have bothered with the size of the fish on offer

With price of fish & chips currently, I’d expect better than what I was served.. Fish was so hard where obviously been kept under hot lamp , greasy chips .. Certainly won’t be returning..
