We booked a table for 16 on Sunday 17th March for a christening but the table had been moved to later in the day but the staff were extremely helpful and apologetic and sorted out our table. Thank you we had a lovely meal as well.

I’ve been visiting Ashby Lodge for a while now, the food has always been nice and the staff members have always been great however, the last two times that I have been in, the same female staff member was very rude.Last time I never said anything but tonight I asked her why she was so rude and she just looked at me with disgust shrugged her shoulders and left me at the bar without serving me.

Quite a few people in and everyone seemed happy enough. Staff was friendly. Tables cleared off quite quickly. Should of took photos but only remembered after tucking in. We both had 8oz rump steak with chips & peas. Half grilled tomato & 2 crispy onion rings. Food was tasty and looked good enough to make your mouth water, I really enjoyed the meal and will be returning.
We spent one night in one of the rooms in the new building. The room was clean, spacious and had everything we need. We especially liked them large windows with door through to an outdoor owned area where there was a table and two chairs. We had brought our own meal and enjoyed eating it there on the paved area next to our room. We did not take a meal in the restaurant, but as we arrived too early to check into our room, we were offered a complimentary coffee by the manager, in the restaurant. One of us happened to mention it was my birthday and a plate with "Happy Birthday" written in edible chocolate and a small selection of tasty sweets was brought to our room as a gift. All staff were friendly and welcoming.
