We were staying nearby at the Park Dean site and decided to go here for dinner. It's very dog friendly, we sat inside with our dog and ordered food and drinks.The staff were lovely and welcoming. Drinks and food were served quickly, and the atmosphere was very relaxed.The food was 'normal' pub grub, very nice and generous portions. Been here a few times for meals. Food is first class. Service is quick. Staff are friendly and helpful. Play area for kids, dog friendly. There are outside wooden pods you can sit in to eat and drink. Wheelchair accessible. Plenty of parking.
The Welcome Inn. A very ironic name for a very unwelcoming place. We came on a quiet Wednesday evening as a family of 8 and were told there was no table availability (despite it being very empty) we asked if we could manage 2 tables of 4 and weren't fussy about sitting together but were instantly told no.
