Fish and chips for Good Friday were the business. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. Will definitely book again.

Saw the sign whilst driving through the wolds and decided to call in for lunch. Staff very accommodating. We had dogs and a wheelchair user with us but access was straightforward. Food was unanimously enjoyed, the burger was excellent. We also had the carbonara, scampi and hunters chicken. We’ll worth a visit.

The Blacksmiths Arms is a very warm and welcoming pub. Staff and regulars were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Very dog friendly, we had our two little dogs with us and had dinner in the cosy dog friendly part of the restaurant. My partner who has the steak and ale pie said it was one of the best pies he has ever had and a very good pint of Guinness with it too.We are just on holiday for a long weekend, but definitely would be a regular pub for us if we were local. Would highly recommend!

Had an amazing huge meal here. Fish and chips were lovely, cod loin I could eat all over again. Dad loved the pie and said they should bottle the gravy. Had a bit of a wait but it showed everything was cooked fresh and worth it. Would definitely eat here again.

Super for cheeky couple of three pints on a Thursday lunchtime.

Much better pub under previous ownership. Also not impressed with reply to my review, nor with the holiday let (which looks like a house on a housing estate) plonked in the pub car park blocking views of the Wolds.

We visited here over the Christmas holidays whilst taking a short break and our first time in Lincolnshire. The main reason for choosing this venue was that my partner was really craving some traditional fish & chips and this place looked like it could be our answer. We were expecting/hoping for something reasonably decent, but WOW!The Haddock & chips with mushy peas was out of this world!Honestly the best fish & chips meal we have ever eaten EVER.The fish was perfectly cooked, batter was crisp and not greasy, chips were also cooked to perfection. The fish was obviously very fresh and actually tasted like fish should, it needed no salt & vinegar on it or anything else. Not only was it top quality in terms of taste, it was a big portion too. In fact we did order a starter of prawns which was delicious but was unnecessary as the main meal was so filling.Staff & owner lovely people, great ambience.Great value for money and a lovely pint of Batemans too.Overall the best meal we had in Lincolnshire, would give 6 stars if possible.Thank you guys & gals at the Blacksmith's :)

Once again, my family chose to go for dinner at The Blacksmith’s Arms, Skendlebury. A good choice, the cod loin was excellent and really a full meal. My wife and daughter in law loved this. My sons went for Beefburgers!!! A very full meal with,I believe, double cooked chips. The Hunters Chicken was enjoyed by my other daughter in law. And for me the meat pie was, again excellent. The pre Christmas atmosphere was super. The staff worked hard for this full house of people. An excellent meal and well worth a visit.Thank you Blacksmiths!! Patrick Webb OBE

Must be one of the best Sunday roast I’ve had. Decent portions and roast tattles done to perfection. The syrup sponge was amazing. My only gripe was the wine - two bottles should not cost the best part of fifty quid. Apart from that it was great.
