Obviously a popular, busy Italian. Fitted us in early and service was prompt and polite. The usual Italian dishes on the menu, most available as starters or mains. Food was hot and tasty. Portions were medium sized, prices were not at 16/17 pounds per dish.

The daily specials board is always worth checking as they have some wonderful items based on fresh available ingredients. The standard menu has enough variety to appeal to all palettes. It is not cheap or fast food, it is good food from good ingredients and beautifully cooked.

So happy to have found this hidden gem on TripAdvisor, had I not searched best restaurants I'd never known it existed. Utterly gorgeous place. We sampled steaks, pasta, seafood all of fantastic quality and the staff so courteous and lovely! We had the most gorgeous evening and wine selection is great, also lovely limoncello. I'd highly recommend and we will return once back in Stamford. Thank you team Amore!!!

Excellent service, attentive but not overwhelming. Seated upstairs which was both spacious and intimate for a couples meal. Food was superb, liked the option of a smaller plate for main course. Fabulous choice of cocktails too. Cannot recommend highly enough (and my husband is a chef so can be critical!).

OH EM GEE. amore restaurant is unbeatable. simply unbeatable. the service was great(especially from the red head waitress who i would LOVE to give my number to.) the ambience was impeccable, the food was delicious and quick and as a carbonara fanatic, i can confidently say it was the best carbonara i’ve ever had (including carbonara from italy itself!) it was creamy, packed with flavour, delightful, light and cooked to perfection(off the menu). my father enjoyed his too and was delighted when i asked if we could return, seeing as i’m very very fussy. amore is what i feel for amore. would return

Our first visit and certainly won’t be our last. Stunning food and excellent service. Absolutely faultless!! The menu was fantastic and the quality of the food was superb. I also thought the meal was excellent value as it was fresh and actually cooked to order. The atmosphere was perfect ?

Great service, great food, great wine and a lovely atmosphere. My husband had swordfish with saute and I had my favourite, Carbonara, which was absolutely delicious. Nothing more to be said! We went here some years ago when it was much smaller. Pity we don't live nearer......
