Whenever I am in Stamford, Cafe Black is a magnet for me. Whether you just want a warm drink or are hungry and ready for a culinary surprise, it is the place to go. The meals are well presented, nutritious and more than enough to satisfy the average appetite. Our first visit, a family member recommended your cafe for our breakfast and we really enjoyed it. We had the lovely poached egg, salmon and guacamole on toast and it was lovely. I'd definitely recommend.

This cafe is among many in Stamford, however I find myself going back to this particular place more often than others, the coffee is fairly adequately priced, with a "loyalty" stamp card system which is always a nice bonus. The stores interior is it's biggest downfall personally, not that this is fault of the owners or staff, its a small place with not much room to stand around and wait for your drink when taking out. Frequently having to dive out of the way of the swift staff serving tables, this could be just me though as being a 6"3 unit, I can appreciate that Its probably more that I'm just taking up too much room. Nonetheless, service is always fast and staff are always friendly. The owners daughter seems to sometimes come out and assist, it's clear that she is carrying this business and they would be nothing without her help, give her a raise ;)

Went in on a busy Bank Holiday but managed to get a seat. Order taken quickly, I wanted to make a small change to my food which was done with no issue - thank you!Food was great, no room for dessert so took it home with me! Will definitely go back!The peanut butter stack is amazing!!

Lovely bright surroundings with nice furniture. Feel bad only giving 3 stars because honestly we had a good experience ... and whilst I would go back...i probably wouldnt run back there and would try somewhere different.

Nice food, and quick service.....only thing is they need to know the difference between a sausage roll with pastry round it and a sausage roll.. ( cob )...folk come from different areas and the meaning to food is different...ie, Bap , Roll, Cob, this isn't a moan, I'm just saying to what I saw.....
