I had a lovely ham sandwich with home made coleslaw and side salad. Lovely food. A tad pricey though.

Only popped in for a sandwich and a glass of wine, but very impressed. Very busy but very efficient.

Visit to Stamford with my daughter. Needed a quick lunch and have been here before. Fresh soup was delicious with plenty of bread. Cod and chips also very good. All piping hot.It was a freezing cold day and downstairs area a little draughty hence the 4 for atmosphere.

We visited Stamford to meet some friends and visited Gooch's for lunch as it is Dog friendly. As we had our dog with us it's sometimes difficult to find Dog friendly places. It's ok in the Summer as most places accept Dogs outside , but in the Cold Winter you want to be able to go inside in the warm. This was a big plus for us being Dog friendly and the doggy part is downstairs and backs onto the outside which is great if your Dog needs to go to the toilet. If you didn't want to be near dogs you can sit upstairs so it suits a variety of people , dog friendly or not. We ordered our food which consisted of 2 panini's , one with Southern fried chicken and the other with stilton , poached pear & walnut. We also ordered a large peroni and a deluxe hot chocolate. The staff were friendly and our drinks were bought to us in about 10 minutes. Wow... I couldn't believe my hot chocolate. It was like a meal in itself. It was huge , with whipped cream , marshmallows , gingerbread crumb and chocolate sauce. I can honestly say it was the best hot chocolate I've ever had. Our panini's arrived shortly after. Both our panini's were lovely and came with a small fancy side salad and a pot of coleslaw. My panini of stilton , poached pear & walnut was delicious. It is however a bit on the pricey side as my deluxe hot chocolate, a large peroni and 2 panini's came to nearly £36. It was worth paying though as we don't go often and was a lovely treat. We would highly recommend this place and definitely great if you take your dog.

My wife and I dropped in today . We usually visit about once a month . We went outside as usual and ordered 2 coffees and a panini ( I wasn't hungry ). The bill total was £20.95 , which is either acceptable to you or not , your choice , but the prices are on the menu , so buy or don't buy , it's up to you . The drinks came in about 5 minutes or so and ( apart from a good amount of my coffee being in the saucer when it arrived ) were as usual satisfactory . The food didn't appear until after I enquired as to it's whereabouts ( we did notice that a couple of tables that ordered after us had already been served ). Some 20 minutes after the initial ordering , the panini arrived ( and very nice it looked too ) , but the drinks by this time had both been consumed . So I sat , waited and watched while my wife eat her panini before we left . I know they were quite busy , but that really shouldn't be our problem should it ? I think we may have a look around for another place next time we are in town .

Called in for a coffee. Ended up having a cocktail each. Espresso for hubby. Limoncello and ice cream and Prosecco for me. Had a baguette for lunch. Everything top notch. Would certainly recommend this lovely spot. Prices very reasonable. We sat at the outside patio. If you are in Stamford for a visit call in. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

How amazing is Gooch’s, we had the venue for an evening for a girly get together. All the staff were excellent but Chelsea was outstanding she couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. The food was delicious and the GF’s were well catered for the table was covered in an abundance of really yummy food, nobody left hungry . The drinks menu was so good with a range of cocktails biggest dilemma of the evening was which one to have next. Lovely well decorated venue with an amazing view of Stamford meadows, and so clean.

We requested the staff if we could sit outside under the umbrella -we were told there were no tables with umbrella available . A few minutes later a couple entered and requested if they could sit outside under the umbrella. The staff took an umbrella out of storage & placed it outside for the couple. Do the staff discriminate some clients or they just couldn’t be bothered and unhelpful. The service was very slow unfortunately. The food was ok .

Lovely stop for breakfast. Great coffee, great service, and the avocado with eggs and feta was a work of art as well as delicious.

Really lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was tasty and really decently priced. Highly recommend, you can have something light if you’re not very hungry or a bigger meal if you are!

Absolutely fantastic service. Food was super tasty and the owner and her staff were really helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend for a bite to eat in the afternoon sun overlooking the meadow in Stamford. Definitely a five star review. Will 100% be coming back. Thank you.
