How amazing is Gooch’s, we had the venue for an evening for a girly get together. All the staff were excellent but Chelsea was outstanding she couldn’t do enough to accommodate us. The food was delicious and the GF’s were well catered for the table was covered in an abundance of really yummy food, nobody left hungry . First of all, if you want fish and chips freshly cooked for you, then you've found the right place. My large haddock was the size of a whale. Outside in the open air is nice. Service today was lacking. Shown table then ignored. Disappointed. Be prepared to wait for your fish, but that bits worth it. Would I come back, well this is my third visit, so yes.Parking: Stamford is a nightmare for parking, ancient town, only chariots in those days. You'll have to be lucky but do try.

Called in for a coffee. Ended up having a cocktail each. Espresso for hubby. Limoncello and ice cream and Prosecco for me. Had a baguette for lunch. Everything top notch. Would certainly recommend this lovely spot. Prices very reasonable. We sat at the outside patio. If you are in Stamford for a visit call in. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.
