We visited Stamford to meet some friends and visited Gooch's for lunch as it is Dog friendly. As we had our dog with us it's sometimes difficult to find Dog friendly places. It's ok in the Summer as most places accept Dogs outside , but in the Cold Winter you want to be able to go inside in the warm. This was a big plus for us being Dog friendly and the doggy part is downstairs and backs onto the outside which is great if your Dog needs to go to the toilet. If you didn't want...read full review

Visit to Stamford with my daughter. Needed a quick lunch and have been here before. Fresh soup was delicious with plenty of bread. Cod and chips also very good. All piping hot.It was a freezing cold day and downstairs area a little draughty hence the 4 for atmosphere.
