Myself and my partner with her parents arrived with the dogs, to come have some food we heard really good reviews about the place. As we arrived at the bar and asked a few questions about food and drink the bar lady was very abrupt miserable and damn right rude. My partners parents originally went to bar and she completely ignored them. Even one of the other folks in there mentioned it’s self service in here as a joke due to the fact the woman behind bar was so ignorant. We also noticed our glasses were very rough and dirty. In the beer garden although there was nobody there, it seemed there was a lot of beer glasses hovering around which looked to been there for ages. This experience put us off thus not ordering any food and leaving. It was about 4:30pm on an easter weekend it was dead and dismal which doesn’t surprise us if they spoke to the bar lady.

Contacted at short notice to see if they could fit us in for Sunday lunch. We’ve been here before as they are so dog friendly for my two small dogs. Like all our previous meals here, it did not disappoint. The Sunday lunch is amazing and extremely good value. I don’t know how they do it for the price given how much it is to eat out elsewhere these days. Lovely quality home cooked food. Thankyou, we will be back.

Excellent value three course lunch. Well kept real ale available. If you have mobility issues be aware of floor surfaces in the building. Raised floor area surrounding the bar.

Ordered a garlic bread pizza and a Cajun chicken burger, both undercooked. The beef burger I had was perfectly fine other than being a bit too greasy, the others needed about 10 - 15 minutes more cooking time. The service was absolutely amazing they were very understanding about how we felt and I’m sure this could’ve just been a one off thing. Decided not to pay.

We go to the whistle-stop often, especially on Sundays, for their Sunday roast dinner. We have had the Christmas dinner, Christmas Day, for the past 2 years. Tonight, we have been there for New Year’s Eve again our 2nd year. Such nice people try to accommodate everyone.
The food was awesome, thankyou to the venue and the staff for the best service!

Came for breakfast on Xmas eve . 5 of us had full English. Amazing value for money excellent fast service and enough toast to feed 10. Food was freshly cooked and delivered piping hot.
