It’s was a few days before Christmas and myself and my better half popped in to meet some friends for a few drinks. The atmosphere was outstanding along with the service. The food was amazing and the drinks flowed all night. This is an outstanding country pub and would highly recommend. 5 star all the way.
We wandered into the Red Lion after a wet and windy walk with the dog. The staff were so friendly and inviting, the atmosphere was warm and cosy - perfect for a relaxing autumnal lunch. They even had treats and blankets for our pooch!The food was really outstanding. First off our waitress suzie was very polite and welcoming and instantly lifted our moods. Secondly.. the turkey and cranberry pie with mash gravy and veg was absolutely incredible!!!! Upon the first mouthful I actually moaned a little, it was that good. Will absolutely be back for pie Thursday ??
