Lovely evening in a lovely atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had the fixed price menu and there was a good choice of dishes. Adam was our waiter and he was exceptional. Very professional & friendly. The only thing that could be improved would be to replace the dead flowers (which were on every table) with fresh ones!

The cartridge works is always a lovely place to visit for lunch, dinner or afternoon tea. Especially if you’ve been to the philharmonic. The staff are all very friendly and very helpful.

Stylish plates, nice atmosphere. Service too slow for our expectations. You can give it a go once, but there are other similar places in Lpool worth trying too.

Lovely restaurant and good service.Chef was good enough to let us order from bar menu as well as A la carte even though bar menu was supposed to finish at 17:00.All food was good and I had the Sirloin steak which was cooked just right (medium).

Date of visit: 15/01/2024Starter: Smoked mackerel rillettes, dill emulsion, red onion soubise - this was delicious.Main: Seabass - a filleted seabass with nice crispy skin. Served with a delicious crab chowder. The presentation of all the food is beautiful.Staff: our waiter (I think his name was Adam) was brilliant. Polite, professional, very attentive, knowledgable of the menu, but also very friendly. He worked very hard all night to make sure we had a great experience.

Lovely ambience and beautiful environment our server was Adam who was very attentive to our needs. On review of the menus we enjoyed a 3 course prefix menu, we received complimentary homemade small bread loafs with homemade butter. Compliments to the chef and team for beautiful dishes we had. All the staff were very friendly, polite and work very hard to meet the customers needs. We would recommend The London Works Carriage and hope to have another opportunity to visit,

Booked for my husband's 70th birthday with several family members including a 2 yr old. A wonderful experience, very special food and drinks, friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return.

The place has all the right qualities; nice location on hope street by the hotel, good decor, friendly and capable staff. The three different wines we had were good, and the organisation of the meal from start to finish was good. Bread with scented butter was a nice entrance to the journey of food. I didn't have dessert as I wasn't tempted by the offerings, but the passion fruit sorbet I tasted was really nice. Here is the part where I am critical, and I hope constructive. I do not remember any major wow moments with the tastes of the food. I had the celeriac fondant that only skipped on my palate when I bit into the spring onions underneath. Apart from that, I do not remember it. I had the mushroom pie, that is not called a pie, and it underwhelmed. I was expecting moistness in the pie to add a depth to the taste, but it did not. I am no expert in the world of mushrooms but they felt undercooked on my teeth in the way that mushrooms can only do. I have given it very good on the stars front because it was very good, however, in my head I expected this place to be or want to be an excellent. It did not do this. There are a couple of limitations to my review. First, I am a vegetarian and in higher end places we tend not to be on the top of minds when preparing mains. My mum had the lamb and she thought it was top! Second, it was expensive, but not that expensive when considerinng the wine easily chewed a quarter of the bill. Perhaps I expected too much. I would go again, but I would not choose the fixed menu.
