Visited the derby pool today for lunch and was very happy with our experience. Food and atmosphere was so nice . The waiter (Diego I think his name was) was spot on ..so friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Arrived after 9pm on a Monday after being turned away from several other places so was pleasantly surprised to find they were still serving food. Free salad bar is a great feature, also the unlimited soda top ups. food we ordered Arrived promptly and was of a decent standard for pub grub. What stood out above all else was the personal service we received from our waitress Alicia. Her genuine warmth really makes you feel special and a valued customer. Really don't mean to sound cheesy just credit where it's due. To note all the staff were helpful and friendly but Alicia is head and shoulders above them all. 5 stars!

Firstly, our waitress Ellie was superb .. so often nowadays hospitality in many venues i find to be less than basic courteousness but Ellie was an absolute delight, knew implicitly what was needed and when and she certainly was the biggest plus to our meal... Overall the food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Main disappointment for me was the soggy corn on the cob (which was the main vegetable included with the meal)... I always thought ? should be served hot, sweet and crunchy but this Harvester served it lukewarm, soft and close to slimy... Think it had been in the pot all day....Okay, that said, good value for money and best service ? for a long long time ...

Very friendly efficient service from Ellie. Food was fine, although chips could have been hotter and salad bar needed a refill ( this was done when we asked).Best bit was the service.Vegetarian options: Not all vegetarians are vegan! We don’t like highly processed vegan foods.

We attended here on New Years Day 2024 when the pub was very busy.We were served by Martin who was quite clearly flustered & quite abrupt with us.Didn’t expect this at all considering we are paying customers.Our server was clearly stressed by how busy the pub was but he shouldn’t be taking his frustrations out on the customers.Would certainly never visit this place again for either food or drink, I would expect a little more courtesy given the number of places in & around New Brighton where I can spend my money.

Visited tonight for meal with friends. Food was great with lots of choice and really good price. The salad bar is great and gets you off to a good start! Our server Stuart was great - Friendly, welcoming, helpful and efficient thought the meal. Even the kids commented on how nice he was! Food was fine, usual harvester type fayre, but hot and cooked well, and my burger was nice and juicy. it's an ideal place for families with having the help yourself salad bar, and kids menu.

An unusually quiet night at the restaurant, but busy enough to be comfortable.The salad bar was fresh and plentiful.The menu choices we made were excellent and fresh.Our server was Alicia who was delightful.We look forward to our next visit.
Birthday treat was late lunch/early tea at Derby Pool. Our very attentive server was Matt. Slow cooked bbq belly pork with mashed potatoes and ratatouille. And if that wasn't enough, we both opted for loaded onion rings with cheese sauce and chillies. Delicious. Excellent choice. How we had room for lemon drizzle ice cream, I don't know? Ah yes, pudding goes to a different stomach!! They even added a candle and sang happy birthday! Made a big girl very happy! Thank you x

The cocktail, priced at £5, was a great value and a perfect accompaniment to our dishes.However, what truly stood out during our visit was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Diego. He was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that we felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our meal. His positive attitude and dedication to customer service made our dining experience memorable.Overall, the Harvester Inn offers affordable and delicious dining with a fantastic atmosphere, and Diego's outstanding service made it even more enjoyable.
