A cracking little cafe.If you're a fish chips and peas bread and butter and a POT of tea (yes a pot) for just under £9 your on a winner.

Not sure what’s happened? Last time we were in the portions were great and the food was fresh and homemade.Today we had cheap bought chips, greasy and sloppy fish with a teaspoon worth of cold mushy peas. The bread was slapped on a plate by the girl behind the till without gloves or tongues. The portion was really small with a sad looking bit of lettuce pretending to be side salad.Pretty much untouched. Drank our coffee and left.Such a shame as this has always been a decent place for fish & chips. But frozen chips and soggy fish isn’t worth £8.99 (I did raise it with the waiting staff. She literally shrugged her shoulders and said “oh. Right”.)

Customers were allowed to smoke in the doorway with the door open. I'm not against people smoking but it's not acceptable by or around food. It totally spoilt me and my 2 companions food.

What a great classic seaside cafe. Really enjoyed the breakfast, with plenty of tea. And the nice weather helps, after all that rain.

The best fish and chips for miles. Quick service and excellent food. The price is very reasonable. I can highly recommend it and have visited it serveral times when in the area. The only small complaint we have is that the tables are quite hard to get into for us elderly people and not too comfortable but the food outweighs the discomfort of the seats. I hope it doesn't change and stays as good in the future. Thanks to everyone who works there.

I love that this place has barely changed since I was a kid.As always, the staff are great, the food is cheap & cheerful, yet super tasty, and the atmosphere is relaxed.A lovely place to grab your dinner.

We have been going here for many years with mum and dad and the kids. It has always been a lovely friendly atmosphere with plenty of delicious meals to please all. Easy to get inside with prams and also great to sit outside with the dog on a dry day. Service and staff are pleasant and welcoming.Parking: As it is on the beach front at new Brighton there are plenty of parking spaces available to choose from.Kid-friendliness: Plenty of easy seating for children with high chairs available and many choices of food enticing enough for them.Wheelchair accessibility: There are 2 entrances and both are flat and easy to get in with pushchair or wheelchair and seating is easy and relaxing and positioned so you are comfortably not in anyones way.

I have stopped now a few times at The Seaside Cafe in New Brighton and was pleasantly surprised on the first time I ever went. While it is a cash-only establishment, which can be a tad inconvenient at times, the overall experience more than makes up for it. The breakfast offerings were hearty and delicious, and the prices were quite reasonable. A lovely spot to start the day right by the sea!

Lovely cafe, very old school feeling, plated dinners like you used to get at your nans. When you order a pot of tea you get the pot of hot water to top up. Lovely decor and well worth a visit especially if you are on a budget.
