Pubs in Aylsham

“A small group of us were staying in holiday accommodation in Aylsham and this was the nearest pub to our home for the weekend so we popped in to visit our 'local'. We visited on both Friday night and Saturday night.Friday night we weren't overwhelmed as the lighting was a bit too bright for our liking but there were no major issues in any way. The beers were good and also the service.We went back on Saturday as we wanted to watch the football match that was on and the pub has a large screen and the table by the screen was unoccupied.The lighting was still too bright for our liking but after a while (we didn't say anything!!) the lighting got dimmed and candles set up!!! It created a lovely atmosphere within the pub and we didn't really want to leave. We had a great chat with some of the locals and it felt like a safe place.We didn't get to use the pool and darts facilities but if we visit again we'll be sure to!!”

“Always a great welcome here, and their live bands and gigs have'nt disappointed. Atmosphere awesome. Not sure if they do food here, so can't comment. Will be visiting again.”
