The Old Tea Rooms
18A Red Lion St, Aylsham, NorwichChanced our luck as a group of 11 after a long, cold walk and they were very accommodating! Service was super friendly and attentive. Food was quick and delicious - we sampled plenty between us and nobody had a bad word to say. They overheard us mention it was someone's birthday in the group and moments later they were singing and giving out free surprise cake. Very lovely end to the afternoon and we will be back!

The Feathers
54 Cawston Rd, Aylsham, NorwichGood local boozer which has really improved of late with the owners investing in extending it and updating the decor. This was always a drinkers pub and remains so. You can roll up here and chat with the locals. Sport on the box. Darts available. It does exactly what a drinkers pub should do. I have not eaten but the word is the food is good. Pubs like this are getting rarer. So go try it out. Pull up a stool at the bar and see how long it takes for a bit of banter to start up. Lovely old job.
