Good local pub. Friendly atmosphere and staff. Sausage rolls, pasties and bar snacks available. Excellent beer garden at the rear, fully enclosed and dog friendly. We go wherever we visit Aylsham. Highly recommend!

A small group of us were staying in holiday accommodation in Aylsham and this was the nearest pub to our home for the weekend so we popped in to visit our 'local'. We visited on both Friday night and Saturday night.Friday night we weren't overwhelmed as the lighting was a bit too bright for our liking but there were no major issues in any way. The beers were good and also the service. We went back on Saturday as we wanted to watch the football match that was on and the pub has a large screen and the table by the screen was unoccupied. The lighting was still too bright for our liking but after a while (we didn't say anything!!) the lighting got dimmed and candles set up!!! It created a lovely atmosphere within the pub and we didn't really want to leave. We had a great chat with some of the locals and it felt like a safe place. We didn't get to use the pool and darts facilities but if we visit again we'll be sure to!!

Great afternoon in there the other week - friendly barmaid and locals. Good pub - full credit where deservedly due. No stars for the food as I didn't have any but I'm sure that's OK as well. Good pub - I like this place...

On the outskirts of town, very much a traditional 'local' boozer with traditional fittings, lovely friendly staff, decent beer.

My friend and I popped in quite last Friday night. Bar lady was happy to serve us a couple of drinks whilst everyone was enjoying a friendly chat. It was a pleasant experience.

Traditional old time pub , how pubs were back in the day. Public bar saloon bar no food , lots of down to earth friendly people. Loved it ??

A traditional pub with good service, a good selection of drinks and a separate darts room which now has a number of seated tables instead of a pool table. The usual fruit machines, a quiz machine and a pretty impressive internet linked duke box with thousands of tracks to choose from. Cosy place
Love this place. Great pub to go relax and have a pint and a funny conversation.

Dog friendly pub. Don't serve food but good for a quick drink.

This little pub in Aylsham, Norfolk, really impressed me with its attentive customer service and its good beers. The footy wasn't on in the room I wanted to sit in, so they turned it on for me which, as a customer, I felt was very considerate of them.

great pub, with good real ale beer. Friendly and helpful staff. It is very much a traditional pub rather than a 'sports bar'.
