This really is a Gem on the side of the river waveny. A classic old-fashioned public house, run by the community for the community. It's like stepping back in time as you walk through the door into the bar, decorated with classic wooden furniture and an open fire. In the summer, the large river side garden often has live bands and pop up caterers. They alps have a great nacho menu! We hired a canoe nearby and stopped here en route for lunch. Large outside area where we sat. Lovely salad, generous portion. Very good value. Lovely service. Live music (it was a Sunday). No lattes (coffee machine) but they did have soy milk.
