Passed by plenty of times on the bus before and always keen to try another pub in the Craft Union chain as all of the other pubs of this brand are very welcoming and friendly so we popped in for an hour before continuing our journey. Unfortunately, our experience wasn't at all positive. Everyone was sitting at the bar, so finding a space to lean over someone's shoulder to order was difficult enough, and then the barman wasn't at all friendly. Extremely loud shouting and foul language from the football fans made our experience one we would rather forget. It may have been bad timing on our part visiting when a match was on, but the general atmosphere just wasn't to our liking. The only positive was the cheapish drinks, and it was warm.

Modern version of a traditional pub. Ale is kept well. Prices are similar to a Wetherspoons but in a regular pub. Locals are friendly and service prompt. All ages congregate there. Recommended.

A Real pub no falseness, Great prices on Real Ale's £2.30.With Good Strengths, Friendly Staff and Customers, no point in going with children as they are not allowed Sad, but a Good Pub hope to visit again Recommended...

Not family friendly, went in with my 17 week old and was told immediately that no children were allowed. There was no sign on the door to state this and they didn’t even recommend a place to go. Terrible policy and attitude that will hurt this business in the long run. A local pub for local people, outsiders are not welcome
