Not Ideal for Wheelchair users which is a Shame because it look a quaint little place to eat.Ramped access into building but as we parked up we couldn't get my Lad out of the car because of the Deep quicksand like gravel driveway/car park. At the end of the car park was a what looked like a beautiful Garden/Seating area but unfortunately a High Step to entre. I'm sure the food would have been nice though

I’ve been here about 4 times in the last year and every time I’ve had great food and really good service. The menu is adventurous but familiar and everything is really well priced. Great selection of drinks too. The staff are fantastic and food and drinks are always served quickly. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Norfolk.

After a long day walking the beaches of Norfolk, this meal was very much needed and exceeded expectations. A beautiful, clean pub with amazing food and great service. We had the seafood chowder & white bait to start followed by the special - Haddock in a chorizo crust & sauce. Every dish was cooked to perfection and arrived quickly. I thought the prices matched the dishes well. A must visit if you’re in the area!

Staying in the village we called for a drink. The beer was excellent. We returned and enjoyed a fabulous Sunday roast. A good choice of vegetables and generous portions. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We first used the Ship during lockdown in 2021, the food was excellent, they told us what time to collect and it was ready on time. This week 3-7-22 we went into the pub to have a meal, very nice pub, friendly staff, quick service and good beer. My wife ordered the Roast Lamb and I had the fish and chips, two other couples had the Lamb and all three couples complained, Roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings were rock hard and although my fish was lovely the chips tasted like they had been cooked in very old oil. The waitress did go and see the chef then came and explained that the potatoes were old ones, as there was three couples complaining, it would have been nice for the chef to come and explain. The bill was adjusted and the excellent waitress. Don't let this put you off, I hope it was just bad stock as the staff werful

Very nice restaurant and bar. Stopped off after being out for the day. Had the Sunday lunch nice meal plenty of vegetables, price reasonable for the quality, nicely decorated inside, clean and tidy. There are pods outside that accommodate about six people. Would definitely use this place in the future.

We popped in to the pub yesterday for a pint and ended up having Sunday lunch, it was delicious! There was a good choice of real ale too. We sat in a little pod outside and it was perfect! Staff were courteous and efficient. Locally sourced produce made it even better. A great experience and well worth the long walk from Sheringham for a decent pub!

Had fantastic Sunday lunch. Nut roast was delish. Often they can be dry but this one was perfect. Loads of veggies all well cooked . Would have loved a pud but could not fit it in! Good value for money as all food locally sourced and well presented .Just a nice relaxing pub with friendly staff and great beer. Highly recommended.

Got a table on a very busy sunny Saturday afternoon after phoning . Forgot to tell them we had a dog which they very kindly found room for us . Food was absolutely lovely especially the fish and chips. Deserts were great also and found the staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely pub would definitely recommend. ?

Ate at the Ship a few years ago - liked it then and loved it on our recent visit. The Sunday lunch was excellent - so good we booked for later in the week and had a lovely bar meal on that occasion. Very pleasant staff and comfortable dining experience. I would say that it has even improved from a few years ago which says a lot as we couldn't fault it then. Shame we can only visit when holidaying here.

We came away highly impressed with our dining experience. (You will imagine our total surprise to have since read an adverse review written earlier on the same day, 4 June 2022 which has prompted me to give our own feedback). We are staying in Blakeney for a week. The Ship Inn is one of the places we pre-booked to eat at before we left home, after reading so many positive comments about it on Tripadvisor & noting that our cockapoo could visit with us! The staff were extremely friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming & warm. The food was served efficiently throughout our 3 courses and the quality of the food was excellent. I won’t list our menu choices here but we were left with the distinct impression that whatever we had chosen we would have thoroughly enjoyed our meals. As I remarked to one of the two ladies who served us, it is hard to imagine anyone ever leaving feeling under-nourished, the portions were generous. As a little aside, but a nice touch, a man whom we imagined is an (or the) owner brought a couple of dog biscuits across for our dog, which added to our feeling of being appreciated as customers. As someone who has spent over 40 years in a customer service profession, I welcome customer-centricity as an attribute of those I do business with. The Ship Inn demonstrated it throughout our visit. It’s staff are a superb credit to its brand. When pre-booking locations to dine in during our stay we leave a couple of days free, so that we can revisit if we especially enjoy our first visit. We are booked to go back again on Thursday and we are greatly looking forward to it. Thank you to the proprietors, the bar and the waiting staff for working so hard and effectively that I’m able to right this review in such positive terms.

Went to the Ship Inn today with a friend for lunch. First thing was the coffee was luke warm, but they changed it without a grumble.....i ordered cheesy chips, my friend, the Binham blue pate. The chips were vastly overcooked, and many of the chips had rotten bits on them which had to be cut out...when they asked was everything alright i said, sorry, no, the chips are not good at all....the owner ( i think) came over and asked if i wanted something different and i said, no, i'm fine thank you....he then said, theres no need to be rude to my staff!!! Luckily the two tourists sitting next door to us heard this too and said i hadn't been rude !! When i challenged the owner he asked me to leave, even though my friend had not finished her lunch !! Totally disgusted at the way i was treated when i'd done nothing wrong....maybe he needs to attend a customer service course....the two tourists said they'd not go in there agin and neither will i !!!
