Great quality fish and chips. Curry sauce is fantastic. Some nice sides too.

Really nice. The chips were not greasy at all. The staff were nice and friendly.A bit pricy but great taste. They also do gluten free when asked. The gluten free sausages were really nice and not greasy.

£40 for two drinks, two haddocks and two chips. Nearly fell over. Got it back to eat and was full of bones, right weird acidic aftertaste in the batter. I am all for supporting small local companies but this was dreadful, and way overpriced.

We visited Erics Fish & Chips on Saturday afternoon and opted for a takeaway (cod and chips). First of all we waited for about 15 - 20 minutes, which was usual as there were only us waiting. Secondly, the meal was pretty bad; the fish batter was over cooked (hard, dark brown, not golden), and nearly all the chips were scrag ends, and were hard! We visited this place on the recommendation in the press (as they won awards), but I'm afraid we won't be visiting again.

We visit Eric’s every Sunday and it can be a bit hit or miss. Unfortunately, this visit was the worst so far - the food was put in boxes that were absolutely covered in grease to the point where we couldn’t even hold them to eat the food. It was dripping out of the paper bag and could clearly have done with more draining. Two of the three meals were stone cold. The fish burger that we had was inedible - the burger itself was 90% batter and it was raw. The fish had a bad odour to it and seemed as though it had been cut in half to reduce the portion size. The chicken burger was similarly cut, and was very very tough. It’s a shame because when it’s good, you can’t beat it but after this experience, we won’t be coming back.

Highly recommend best battered sausage I've ever

£4 medium chips are the most stingy size I've ever seen. They literally didn't even fill one layer of the box. Chips are the cheapest thing they likely produce so goodness knows how small the rest of the portions are. If you're hungry don't go here or order double portions.

Best fish and chips we have had for a long

Wonderful fish n chips..albeit pricey for 2 people. With tea.cold drink and bread butter £38.00. But great fast service with a smile.and lovely surroundings.
I was so excited to try Eric’s and travelled quite far to visit, and I feel I must’ve come on a bad day - I ate in the restaurant and had gluten free cod and chips. The fish was okay but the chips were a bit floppy and the meal overall was quite lukewarm. I had a small and couldn’t finish it, it was just cold after a couple minutes. The chap serving our table honestly came across like he would rather not be there.I might try Eric’s again in future and hope to have a better experience, it may have been an off day or a bad time. Just disappointed it wasn’t as good as I hoped!
