“The best you can get, we actually travel about 30 miles for this instead of our local. Plus you get the beach.”

“A bit of a mixed bag. Quality is high, but so are the prices. Portion sizes are definitely on the small side. Black pudding fritters are a winner. The curry sauce is really weird. I liked that it was nice and thick, but it was unusually sweet and ended up overpowering the rest of the meal. I think that one needs a rework.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ MR BUN – A Review by the Loyal Tart Patrons There are bakeries. And then there is Mr Bun—a monument to all that is good, oversized, and unapologetically jam-filled. We don’t just visit Mr Bun. We make pilgrimages. My mum has been known to utter the sacred phrase “Let’s go to Mr Bun” with the same gravity as one might say “Let’s visit the Queen.” It’s not optional. It’s ritual. Gerry is delightfully rude in a funny way—exactly the kind of human you want behind a counter loaded with tarts the size of your face. Friendly, familiar, and probably telepathic when it comes to knowing what you really want (hint: it’s the scone and the rock cake, you liar). ⸻ ✨ Notable Delicacies: • Jam Tarts – Glossy, generous, and emotionally healing. • Pasties – The kind that make you question every other pasty you’ve ever eaten. • Rock Cakes – Rock in name only; soft enough to cry into if needed. • Scones – Towering. Toastable. Slatherable. A danger to diets and dignity. • Rocky Road – So enormous my mum had to suck it before she could bite it. If that’s not gourmet commitment, I don’t know what is. ⸻ We’ve never had a bad experience. Just dangerously good ones. 10/10. Would return even if it required a ferry, a goat, and a handwritten invitation. Thank you, Mr Bun. Never change.”
