We don’t just visit Mr Bun. We make pilgrimages. My mum has been known to utter the sacred phrase “Let’s go to Mr Bun” with the same gravity as one might say “Let’s visit the Queen.” It’s not optional. It’s ritual. Gerry is delightfully rude in a funny way—exactly the kind of human you want behind a counter loaded with tarts the size of your face. Friendly, familiar, and probably telepathic when it comes to knowing what you really want (hint: it’s the scone and the rock cake, you liar). ⸻ ✨ Notable Delicacies: • Jam Tarts – Glossy, generous, and emotionally healing. • Pasties – The kind that make you question every other pasty you’ve ever eaten. • Rock Cakes – Rock in name only; soft enough to cry into if needed. • Scones – Towering. Toastable. Slatherable. A danger to diets and dignity. • Rocky Road – So enormous my mum had to suck it before she could bite it.
