Pubs in Norwich

“First time eating here @woolfandsocial and we had a really great time! There was a bowl of truffle popcorn while you wait and once you have ordered, the chef will send out the food in pairs which he thinks will go well together. We had a reservation for our anniversary. I recommend getting 3-4 sides and a main if it’s just the two of you. So sad they will close next month. ? (please don’t close). We ordered:• Celeriac and Horseradish Remoulade• Leaves, Goats’ Cheese, & Pickled Walnuts• Norfolk Cheese Croquettes• Fried Chicken, Fennel, & Lovage• Braised Pork Belly• Chocolate Cake & Laphroaig CreamIndeed was the best place for our anniversary dinner. Hope we can come back before they close.”

“just spent a week staying in a cottage at Upton and popped into the White Horse every evening. A really nice community pub, well run, good food and some really interesting beer. As a beer lover I like to try new beers whenever I can and I was spoilt for choice. No generic beers but a good choice of local brews which were constantly changing. The pub is dog friendly and the team working there are excellent! When holidaying in the UK a local, dog friendly pub with good beer and great staff is a must and the White Horse came up trumps Will hopefully be back very soon”

“This village hostelry caters for locals and guests alike. There was a thriving bar and games area, as well as a candle-lit restaurant area. The menu has all the pub classics you’d expect … we had pulled pork nachos to start and beef ‘n’ ale pie for main. Both were tasty, the beef was melt in your mouth tender and plenty of it. Service was efficient and fast, just how we like it. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food served and service provided.”

“Just 200m from my hotel, The Maids Head, this glorious old style and unspoiled English Pub has the best service both for drinks and food. Coming from Oz I needed proper bitter, not todays styles which I refer to as fizzy lemonade. The ? were excellent. Thank you. We ate while enjoying the RWC ? on the TV. The food was superb, England’s performance against Samoa less so! Thank you. A great experience”

“We visited this evening for a meal with our toddler. The staff were very friendly and the food was great. We both had different burgers. They were filling so we had no room for dessert but wished we did. They had a high chair for our toddler and welcomed us all.”

“The fat cat is a traditional street corner pub, more than that it is a great pub. Deservedly regularly featured in the campaign for Real ales good beer guide. It has a fantastic range of top quality Cask conditioned real ales, and an excellent selection of ciders and bottled beers. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. This cosy pub has an interesting display of old pub memorabilia and is always busy when I have called in. This is favourite pub in Norwich, highly recommended.Parking: Plenty of free street parking nearbyWheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance okay for wheelchairs but it is a very narrow crowded pub with not a lot of space”
