Did not stay here, review only covers the pub and our meal.Went here on a Sunday and although we had not booked, they squeezed us in. Huge menu as well as Sunday roasts and specials. I had the skate and my partner the steak and kidney pudding - both were excellent and we were too full for a pudding, although the range was very tempting including hot cross bun bread and butter pud.I must single out the friendliness and efficiency of all the staff, who appeared to enjoy their jobs....read full review
We came in for lunch for my Nanny’s birthday today (11th March). I mentioned the occasion to the waitress (young girl with brown hair, seemed like a supervisor) and she went all out to make sure it was a special time with a free glass of wine and special dessert place. The other staff members were great too. Thank you all so much for making the day so special!

I am a wheelchair user and I went last Saturday with my husband and my parents for my 50th birthday, the access was no problem, there was plenty of room round our table and didn't feel cramped, food and service was lovely, staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice also to not have music or TV blaring out, you could have a nice conversation without shouting.Food & drinks: Lovely food and reasonably priced
