Just popped in for a quick travel lunch, which I really enjoyed. Wasn't sure if I was in a pub or cafe.

I have stayed here and eaten here a few times. The rooms are basic and comfortable & the shower is piping hot. It’s not a traditional pub room as the pub is really a cafe open every day but only open in the evenings on Friday & Saturday so you let yourself into the room via a key safe system. The food in the cafe is very good value with generous portions. The building is on a busy road but it’s really quiet at night. There isn’t anywhere to walk to but plenty of the local villages have pubs and Diss is just a few minutes drive away. For the price it’s excellent value.

Seen this place changed hands a few time, so thought we would try. Met friends for lunch, were very impressed. Food and service were excellent. Will definately be returning and recommending. Keep up the good work.??.?.

My wife and I were travelling back from Beccles to Milton Keynes (A143) after dropping off some equipment to a friend. We’d seen the pub on the way through in the morning, having said to ourselves that one of their signs looked a bit like a speed camera sign (bright yellow). We arrived about 1.30 and were warmly welcomed. We both had jacket potatoes which each came with plenty of filling, a big green salad, and quite a large pot of homemade coleslaw. The service was reasonably fast and very friendly. For a relatively new management they should be congratulated on a bright, and friendly setup serving good value food and drinks. We’ll be visiting our friend again in the next few months and so will time our travel to stop here again too.

We had dinner here and everything about the place was lovely. Food was fantastic, you got loads for your money, excellent service, and very friendly owners. Burgers in particular were really good! We will be back!

Very warm welcome on arrival, owners are great people, rooms are basic but big and has everything you need, very clean. Working away from home week in week out isnt easy but this place felt like home (first time ive ever said that about a hotel or B&B). Food is good and reasonably priced especially for the big portions you get ? 10 out of 10 from me!! Will definitely be back without a doubt!!
