Bar • “We came for Christmas Day lunch, as a large group it was brilliant to be in the newly refurbished function room. The food was excellent and we were very grateful for the attentive, friendly service. This is our second visit as a large group and on both occasions we would have no hesitation in recommending the Thomas Paine - thank you to you all”

Bar • “I often come here for lunch and have never been disappointed. Today for a change, I had ham. egg and chips. Best I've had anywhere. Three slices of beautiful dry ham, two perfectly cooked friend eggs and a plateful of delicious crispy chips. I couldn't eat it all. I suppose the potion sizes are aimed at the men as they are massive. All the food is very reasonably price, with a discount for members.”
