Lovely little tea shop with very welcoming staff who helped me with the pram and didn't rush us out despite staying past their opening hours when breastfeeding the little one. Thank you!

One of the best places to go for a brunch/lunch/afternoon tea. The food is good quality, generous portions and the staff are always bright and friendly. You're always treated like the most important customer and their range of savoury and sweet means you'll always find something to satisfy you! Thank you for the amazing service as alwaysVegetarian options: They do vegetarian and vegan options for food and drinks. Jacket potatoes, toasties, scones, sandwiches etc

A lovely, cozy atmosphere for a relaxed lunch. Their cheese scone was extremely tasty — I strongly recommend if you are a scone fan! The others in my party really enjoyed their bacon and cheese toasties. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. We would definitely visit again!

I’ve been to MHTS a couple of times now and the quality of coffee has been superb. However on this occasion we purchased sausage rolls / onion rolls as well as a brownie and I must say we were very disappointed. The items were freezing cold (I think the server wanted to get rid of us because we had a dog), and the brownie was not great. It would have been nice to be asked if we wanted the food heated, as cold on a cold day was not enjoyable.

Attended yesterday at the last minute as fancied a hot drink. The lovely owner although on her own and very busy served up a nice coffee with an excellent home made by her ginger scone and lemon curd. The best cake type treat I had ever tasted. My wife had a cream tea with huge fresh plain scone with accompanying raspberry jam and abundance of fresh Cornish clotted cream - accompanied with both freeze dried raspberries and fresh raspberries. Served on slate and wooden trays the presentation was superb which prepared for the wonderful treat to follow. A wonderful place to visit and we will go back when in the area again, as the sandwiches and other cakes/savouries looked of the same standard ?

A very friendly and cozy cafe. The ladies were very accommodating and helped us find a table as we were an odd number of people. The food was delicious. The bacon sandwich, carrot and coriander soup and the scones were to die for. Really enjoyed the Chai latte too. Look forward to returning another time.

The coffee’s wonderful, Chocolate and Orange cake fantastic, the Ginger Scones light big and excellent. The rest of the offerings very appealing. And the ambiance and welcoming atmosphere is very warm.

Mad Hatters Tea Shop was a great choice on a rainy Saturday morning. The owner and staff graciously welcomed our party of five, displaying remarkable patience as we deliberated over our food and drink choices. In the end, we decided to embrace our inner foodies, going all out with a delightful mix of breakfast items and a piece of every cake, much to their amusement! ? Despite the abundance of food, the bill was surprisingly reasonable.I can't recommend their homemade sausage rolls and scones highly enough; they were absolute standouts. The seating area was not only clean but also very comfortable. Although quite a small area it was a pleasant atmosphere and didn’t feel cramped . The only minor flaw we encountered was a faint tea stain on one of our cups, which, considering the overall experience, hardly even qualifies as a fault.Mad Hatters Tea Shop is a gem of a place, and I'd give it a solid 5 stars without hesitation. It's the perfect spot for a delightful, indulgent morning tea experience.

Delicious cake and great friendly service. Couple of tables out the front or few tables and seating inside.

We arrived half hour before they closed so only had time for tea, coffee and a large slice of date and ginger cake. Delicious. We sat outside. Our table was cleaned for us. Service was friendly. Small with nice decor. We will definitely return, but earlier next time to sample their savouries or afternoon tea.
