We have been staying in the village and have spent the last 3 evenings having a quiet drink in this pub .....really friendly owners.....exceptionally dog friendly ( water and treats for our little dog).....lovely ambience....Great music playlist....we also had a nice meal on the Saturday night...nothing fancy, scampi chips and peas...but hot and tasty.... there was nothing veggie on the menu....but they were more than happy to make my partner a veggie meal .....the log burner...read full review

Cosy and very nicely decorated and a good beer garden. We didn't eat there but it was a very welcoming and pleasant experience for a couple of drinks when out for a late Sunday walk.

Staying in the village & went for a meal on the Wednesday evening. Our dog was made most welcome with a bowl of water & a bowl of dog biscuits. The staff were extremely friendly & helpful. I had an unusual starter of Morecambe Bay shrimps on a crumpet, most unusual but delicious. This was followed by by the thickest, most moist sea bass ever served with new potatoes & green vegetables followed by a homemade mint chocolate mousse which was light & delicious.
