Amazing food and service; I'm almost certain I had the best butter chicken of my entire life! The staff is very friendly and attentive, our waiter recommended something special for my partner and he loved it.

Called yesterday evening for dinner. Staff were very helpful and polite and friendly. Food was well cooked and decent portions. The prawn chat puree and chicken khorai very tasty and flavourful. Would recommend if you are in the area. Make sure you book well ahead.

I was a little bit worried looking at some of the reviews, but so glad we ordered from here. We had the Lamb Shank Bhuna, it melted in the mouth and was one of the best Curry's I've had. It was all good, just wished I lived here, I'd use it all the time.

I have had takeaways from monsoon for years when near Filey, I can honestly say it has gone from the best Indian around to last nights food which was without a doubt the worst Indian I have ever had. Naan was cold and chewy chicken so chewy was inedible, chips cold and hardly cooked chicken chat inedible, sauces would give a 3 out of 10. Had 3 mouthfuls and binned the lot. £30 in the bin. So disappointed

We visited Filey on a Monday staying at a nearby campsite. Some sit in pubs and restaurants are closed for food. So we decided on a takeaway back at base. This turned out to be a good idea as we really enjoyed some very good food.

I've been to Monsoon now about 6 times, and it never disappoints! Rash always give me fantastic recommendations, tonight I had a dish that wasn't even on the menu! He described to the chef what I like (I'm not fussy) , and he made me a yummy dish that I would definitely order again. Would highly recommend a visit to Monsoon when ever you're in Filey x

First and last time for me, friends visiting Filey so we decided to try Monsoon for a take away curry, having seen good reviews, but what a disappointment, my partner and I had the had the chicken Jalfrezi, the chicken was so tough I couldn’t eat it, we both thought the same, and not cheap either. Will never have a curry here again.

Fantastic curry, hot, spicy & garlicky, Even better than our hometown Indian and that’s saying something

Very disappointed bhargi starter tiny like golf balls Vegetables garlic curry no garlic at all and very greasy. Chicken jalfrazi very very hot far too spicy with sliced chicken not pieces again very oily.and small portions of rice and couldn’t taste any garlic in the Nan bread.not worth £34.it’s a shame I think it’s changed hands last time we went was really good

We had a lovely meal at Monsoon as we always do. But when we considered our bill we thought we had been charged too much. £101 for 4 people, 2 of which were children and had half portions thought it was a bit steep and maybe didn’t check the bill as stringently as we should. Due to this it may question us going back again. However lovely food and service

Ordered a meal, Aug 27, and was probably the worst food I have tasted. Ordered tikka and was served sliced chicken. Popadums we’re stale, totally unacceptable please do not visit this restaurant. .

Its a pretty basic restaurant inside, but oh my don't be mislead the food is off the scale amazing. I took a recommendation from the chap who looked after us, he was called Rish and gave us good service but his recommendation was something else - it was a lamb shank based curry with spinach, i asked for extra spicy and it was possibly the best curry I've ever had. The restaurant looked pretty full when we arrived so I'm thinking a reservation may be needed.

This review of our takeaway starts out with our being somewhat disappointed. The poppadoms lacked both body and a depth of flavour, the starter platter tasted rather bland and looked limp and uninspiring. However, we followed this with a Handi Bhuna prepared with lamb which was simply delicious: combining lovely complex flavours with a moderately spicy kick. I adore a really garlicky tarka dhall alongside my curry and this one certainly did not disappoint. So after two completely contrasting courses I still would describe the overall experience as very good.
