If you've ever wondered why Harrogate town centre is relatively quiet on a Saturday afternoon then the answer is that everyone is at The Den. Called in here today for something to eat on recommendation from family in Manchester! It did not disappoint. The food was superb but what was equally outstanding was the service. Go here regularly to play pool with friends and have a drink and it's always good fun and friendly, today popped in for lunch since they've started doing food. Was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Will be stopping in for food again. Bonus note, dog friendly!

Went to the Saturday Showcase (Original Live Music) and saw 2 bands - DEFAULT MODE NETWORK modern 70s style rock (think Hendrix/Cream) and HELL FIRE JACK rock duo in style of Royal Blood. Both 5*'sLarge open basement venue with side pool tables & large bar. Very much setup for music with a large stage and decent PA sound.The venue has a youthful vibe with drink prices being normal pub prices (~£5/pint)And it was FREE ENTRYWhat's not to like?
