Bar • “The Mitre hosted our Wedding celebration in July 2023 and we can't speak more highly of the staff and the service. We were able to rent out the whole pub for the day, work with the head chef to cater a menu and the manager to plan out the day. Nothing was out of reach for the Mitre and their staff, their communication was great, even accommodating last minute requests and changes. The food was delicious, the bar service was excellent and they had more than enough staff to ensure all our guests were happy. We also rented out all the accommodation for out of town guests, the rooms were clean, comfortable and perfect for a short stay. We would highly recommend hosting your next event here.”

Bar • “This venue does not currently serve food. We attended for the last few evening and found it very welcoming but quiet. Tonight (Thursday) was the pub quiz. I would 100% recommend this. The lady that did the quiz was lovely and the quiz itself was very varied and had something for everyone. Family and Dog Friendly.”

“One of the tastiest Sunday roasts I’ve had in a pub - it felt like a proper home cooked meal (and there was no scrimping on the gravy which is always nice). The manager and waiters were lovely too.
