Having stayed a few nights in the Lake District, we decided to extend our getaway and booked into Yorebridge for a couple of nights in June - booking the Barn, which is a short walking distance from the hotel, in the village and offers a quite, tranquil escape away from the hotel environment. Yorebridge is simply excellent. The staff are very well trained, highly competent, most friendly and helpful and have a good sense of humour. They clearly enjoy their work and it shows in the relaxed and comfortable relationship they have between themselves and with the customers. The food is top class and the extensive wine list allows a choice of very good bottles at a fair price, but also the opportunity to splash out at the high end of the scale. We enjoyed a 5 star afternoon tea in this beautiful hotel. We were greeted at the door and for the 2 hours we were there we were made to feel very special. The afternoon tea was plentiful. Our compliments to the talented pastry chef.
