On holiday in this area and sampled Great Ayton's traditional Yorkshire fish and chips. They are based in the High Street. Its been years since we had any as good as this. They fry to order so there may be wait but its so worthwhile as the fish is nice and fresh and chips cooked well. We enjoyed them so much that at the end of our holiday we went back for more! Would certainly recommend if in the area.
The North East coast is known for our great fish & chips. We buy for ourselves, visitors and friends. I have been as a workman behind the scenes and this place is spotless. Very highly recommendParking: This is a village high street and at times it can be busy with people, bikes, cars and tractors

It's not very often that I write a review. Credit has to go to where it’s due. This chippy really does take some beating. In my experience you have never met a more down to earth lot. The fish that is served reminds me of the fish and chips from my youth. I highly recommend trying the curry sauce. I appreciate this place and the efforts of the people within it. Long may they and it continue to be a part of Ayton’s landscape.
