Supposed to be open till 6. Staff were complaining, about more customers coming in at 4.20pm, as they wouldn't be able to close at 5pm. Out of most kids snack box items. 95% of main meals not available. Choices were burger, chicken tikka or fish pie. Hot drinks were out and a sparse choice of cold drinks. Hot food whilst hot, wasn't great. Not worth the money paid.

I had lunch here last Monday, my friend lives locally and it was convenient. I wasn't expecting much to be honest, just basic café food. We both had the fish and chips. One small and one large. Hands down it was the best fish I've eaten in twenty years. Succulent and tasty with no evidence of grease at all. The takeaway at Saltburn pier could learn a thing or two from this place. They were out of fish & chips at 3.45pm! Opted for cheeseburger & chips. Chips were barely warm, tried pouring hot beans over them to warm them up but they were still lukewarm :( ... Burger was served in a sweet brioche (not my taste) with a slice of cold cheese and a slice of tomatoe that could have been used as a doorstop. Hadn't eaten all day so gave it a good go and my husband tried with the burger but still couldn't handle it. Coffee was nice.
