I've known this pub for many years but had recently been advised that the steaks were exceptional. And they are. Attended with friends, starters, 4 fillet steaks with sauce, 2 bottles of wine - £230 - exceptional value for money especially because the steaks really are superb. Choice of 6/8/10 oz fillet is welcome too. Recently popped in for a pint. It was rather busy but managed to find a seat. The staff were pleasant even though they were running off their feet. Next time I am in the area, I’ll be having another pint, maybe some food.

If you’re looking for a traditional pub with a great cosy atmosphere and superb food, look no further! We had Sunday lunch last week and it was truly outstanding, the best I’ve had in a long while. Keep up the good work, we will be back for sure.
