I called looking for a room for the night at short notice and was relieved to hear that they had one available.Rooms: The room was just OK. Clean and tidy, it served the purpose. Nice bathroom with a small bath and shower.Nearby activities: On the High Street so plenty of shopping and food outlets nearby.

Warm friendly greeting very helpful staff all food we ordered arrived together hot and fresh portion of fish chips mushy peas home made tartar sauce prawn cocktail was full of prawn no skimping here and a portion of scampi chips peas again plenty off well worth a visit will be back

Unfortunately we never got to sample the food so I can't comment on that. We went in at lunchtime on market day. It was quite busy at the front so we were invited to go through to the dining room. As we went in, the young man at the bar told us to find a seat & he would be with us shortly. There were only 2 other tables occupied. We duly sat down - no menus on the tables - & waited for him to come over. He was slowly putting saucers on a tray & slowly making coffees. He then took some spoons over to one of the occupied tables & returned to the bar to continue with his saucer placing. I did see him look over at our table, but still nothing was done. After approx quarter of an hour, the manageress walked through & asked him to make 4 more coffees. At this point we decided we'd had enough, put our coats on & walked out. We walked right past him & he neither caught our eyes or offered any sort of apology. I suggest he needs a course of customer service training or the restaurant will be losing a lot of business.

We came here for some light lunch and it was really nice. It was slightly quiet but we did come on a Tuesday. The staff were friendly and service was quick. Overall I’d go back as good value for money!

Unfortunately had the worst meal ever and have been a few times. I had gammon egg pineapple and chips. the gammon was like leather and the chips looked like they had scraped the barrel. All I got was an apology

A hidden gem fish and chips amazing staff friendly and so welcoming have been visiting north allerton for years and walked right passed it is now our go to amazing quality amazing staff Clean absolutely fantastic
Just had a small Cod & Chips and it was spot on!Nice sized fish, lovely white meat and batter not greasy. Fat chips (normally I prefer thin) we’re very tasty and again not greasy but reasonably crispy.Feeling nice and full and pleased i didn’t get the large fish as often they’re just too big!I’ve tried Bradley’s and White Horse and these were the best by far. And a better price too at just £6.20.Can highly recommend!

Called in with my family for a lunch break from shopping. What a lovely place. The staff are very friendly and the food delicious I had small fish and chips the perfect size. The fish was white as white and the batter lovely and crispy. The chips were crispy and ungreasy and to top it all real! Mushy peas.

Cocktails and food are as good as anywhere in Town, decent choice of Lager and beer (usually one cask) . Very nice surroundings . We eat and drink here a lotFood & drinks: Service is always friendly and efficient , you never have to wait too long, even for cocktails ( other venues could learn from this) Good choice of beers, which are well kept. I regular bar for me

Went for first time, service was difficult not always someone on bar and could be waiting a while. Food was also disappointing. Things with panko breadcrumbs and other breadcrumbs where just soaked in oil, definately won't go back very disappointed considering was recommended to go.
