We were sceptical about coming here, having read some reviews on Google. However, the general experience we had was very pleasant. The food was good quality and the restaurant was nice and clean. Had a conversation with the waiter and found out it was a family business, and the chef was his uncle, who had owned the business 25 years. If you're looking for a cheap meal, though, skip the poppadoms, which cost a massive £11 for the dips included. Overall it was average priced. Our experience was pleasant.

Lovely food and excellent service. Some items seemed a bit expensive, but others were cheap. Overall the prices seemed perfectly reasonable to us and in keeping with other restaurants of this type.Dietary restrictions: The dishes we ordered were gluten free, but the chef made special changes to ensure all was fine

Without doubt the worst indian meal I have experienced in 40 years hardly any meat in the tough lamb rogan josh. Absolutely no idea how to make a keema paratha dried up and tastless samosas are a joke. Will not be returning..Do not try this place .

Set menu B - underwhelming and expensive. Tiny starter, missing popadoms. Main course chicken was mostly sauce and a few small pieces of meat. Lamb dish was tough with a bit more flavour. Small portion of rice. Veg side was probably the most palatable. First visit and likely our last.

Ordered a lamb and a chicken main dish, a mushroom pilau and a garlic naan takeaway. Very little meat in both dishes, the lamb was tough and both were below average tasty. Cost £30 which I don’t mind paying if it hit the spot but it didn’t. On collection I was informed they only accept cash which I didn’t have on me hence the inconvenience of a trip to the local cash point. Why? - draw your own conclusion!

Such a shame, however honestly this is probably the worst Indian takeaway we have ever had and possibly the most expensive. Korma was hot and and spicy not mild and creamy, chicken pieces were few and far between, tiny little cubes of chicken, loads of sauce, couldn’t tell if it was the chicken tikka as ordered because the pieces were so small. Takeaway 4 popadoms the onion pickle was just onion really 1 korma and 1 dopiaza 1 rice 1 naan over £34 for a takeaway really !! Anyway just visiting so won’t be calling again. Person serving was nice enough though

Although the decor and the staff were a bit tired looking, the service was excellent and the food delicious. We polished off our meals in no time at all. Note: at the time of our visit, there was no alcohol served but you could take your own. We stuck with soft drinks.

Stopped in for an early dinner saturday night while passing through town. It was quiet as it was early so we had a window seat and could enjoy the sunshine and view while we had a nice meal, canned soft drinks were very reasonable which is a nice change and makes us order more when there is better value. Check when you arrive if you want to pay by card.

Was staying locally so was going to go for a meal out.On viewing the menu, outside the restaurant, I thought the food was expensive, then I noticed a handwritten note on the door saying to add another 20 percent to the shown prices for eating in " to cover rise in inflation"Also that the discount in prices for takeaway food had been removed, increasing the price of a takeaway by 20 percent.Needles to say we didn't bother going in, we always leave a 10 percent tip whenever we eat out, but to demand an extra 20 percent up front is just greedy , that probably explains why the place was completely empty.Won't bother looking to go there again.

Really tasty food, nice atmosphere and incredibly good service. Will definitely return!

Nice food, did leave me really thirsty in the night but this isn’t uncommon for takeout. Pricey but most things are these days. I would go again

Got take away - Lamb Rezala with Mushroom Pilau Rice. Flavour was lovely but lamb was very tough and lots of gristle. Not cheap either for a takeaway costing £17.95. Don't mind paying more if nice, but this was a waste of money. Only take cash also ?

An absolute rip off don’t bother thinking you get the discount for takeaway - £60 quid for 3 meals and some naan bread ! The chicken Korma had 3x as much sauce as there was chicken and the rogan Josh was overly spicy and I can take spice. such a shame as it is the only Indian in Pateley. We will be travelling to Ripon for an Indian from now on.

Had a takeaway tonight. Was probably the worst one in many years. Ordered a mixed starter. There was not enough food to feed the pigeon outside our motor home. Half a sheek keebab small pieces of dried up meat. Disgusting. We hoped that the curry would be better. Disappointingly no it was awful. To be honest I never post bad reviews about anyone but certainly felt the need tonight.
