The Wellington Inn
Main St, Darley, HarrogateAbsolutely outstanding.
My wife is disabled and I popped in to check accessibility and if we could take a late lunch.
The staff member went out of her way to assist in getting us into the premises.
We are on a weight reduction program so are conscious of our food intake.
The food was beautiful and the service was exceptional.
Sadly we'd had a bad experience elsewhere earlier.
But this experience totally made our day.
Thank you to all your staff.

Restaurant at The Sportsman's Arms
Mill Cottages, Wath, HarrogateNice pub in a beautiful location. Food was good and the staff were lovely.
In the summer it is probably a lot nicer atmosphere. They have a very large outdoor seating area. In the depths of winter the inside was a bit tired looking.
Don't get me wrong. It is a nice evening out, and I will definitely return in the summer time.

Wildings Tea Room and Riverside Terrace
Nidd Walk, Pateley Bridge, HarrogateReceived a lovely warm welcome when we walked in, and invited to take a seat inside or outside - we chose a table on the back patio, with the sounds of the river playing in the back ground.
I chose an cream tea, which was lovely. The scone was fresh and tasty, the raspberry jam was amazing (the waitresses recommendation) and the clotted cream scrummy. The crockery was lovely.
The cakes in the cake cabinet looked amazing. And they were presented in a very different manner, which I liked a lot.
The highlight of our visit has to be Edie, the server. She was bright, cheerful, funny, and very happy to interact with two 'old' farts! ? ? The other staff were very pleasant too.

Nidderdale Way Cafe
Studfold Farm, Lofthouse, HarrogateIt's difficult to put into words but the sandwich I had was perfect! Crispy bacon, runny egg, black pudding and crunchy hash browns... I know the photo doesn't do it justice but it isn't easy to serve up such a bob-on breakfast. The owners were friendly and accommodating too. We will be visiting again...
The coffee was a little watery but I do love a creamy latte with whole milk, so probably just taste.

The Pancake House
1B High St, Pateley Bridge, HarrogateI am doing disabled and don't get out much and The Pancake House at Pateley Bridge is my go to place; I try to get there once a week . The staff are so friendly and helpful and really look after me. Murat, the owner aka chief cook, bottle washer, waiter and whatever else needs doing is very friendly and kind. I am vegan and I didn't expect to get a vegan meal and drinks in a cafe specialising in pancakes but they are happy tweek the menu replacing oil for butter and there is a choice of dairy free milks. The cappuccinos have a mountain of froth and are almost like a pudding in themselves. I recommend The Pancake House to other people whenever I can.

The Pateley Club
42 High St, Pateley Bridge, HarrogateWe have all been on our travels, and we have all had that 'feeling', when you walk into a strange place, in a strange town, and you don't get the warm welcome we wanted.
Well not in this club, you kind of expect the barman to be polite don't you, he wants you to spend money. But within an hour, I think everyone in the place had said hello, asked where we were from, where we were staying. And when we explained we were gonna be regulars, we felt like 'locals' instantly.
I'm a Yorkshire man born & bred, and the welcome in this establishment speaks volumes. We are very warm people.

Olley's Pizzeria
Bridgehouse Gate, Pateley Bridge, HarrogateReally good food and generous portions. Average value for money. Nice atmosphere and large and varied menu; lots of vegetarian options. Probably the best option in Pateley Bridge for a nice meal out so book in advance. Unfortunately we did have to wait a very long time for our food and they'd run out of seabass. Arrive early to avoid those issues.

High Street Fisheries
16 High St, Pateley Bridge, HarrogateI was the first customer in and ordered Haddock and Chips with a cup of tea. There is a single table and chair so asked if I could use it and was allowed. The fish was very fresh with a crispy tasty batter and the chips cooked to perfection with a crisp coat and fluffy inside. I only marked the atmosphere down as there is none in a takeaway but the owners were very polite and friendly.
