“We called In to the Middleton arms after reading some reviews. We didn’t book but they were still happy to serve us and explained we would have a little wait. We also had our 2 dogs with us. They made us all feel really welcome. They brought a bowl of water out for our dogs and had a couple of treats for them. I ordered the steak pie, my wife and daughter both went for the cheese burger. The pie was probably one of the best pies I have ever had. Served with chips, veg and gravy. The chips are home cooked and again probably the best chips I have ever had. I tried some of the cheese burger and that too was excellent and served with the same chips. I highly recommend the Middleton arms and we will return next time we are in the area.”

“What a gem of a place. We’ve been going since we were children and a recent visit shows that it’s just as good now as it ever was. The couple who run the Brandysnap are brilliant, the food is amazing, atmosphere is great - I can’t think of anywhere I’d rather eat”

The quality of the meals & choice offered was superb matched by the impeccable service, the scallops starter, blue cheese souffle & belly pork were outstanding, matching the quality of food of a Michelin starred restaurant at half the price. “I stopped off at the Tea room this Bank Holiday Sunday. they had obviously had a busy day but I had a great welcome and made my order. I had the best cream scone I have ever had when down with loose leaf green tea (a full pot with extra hot water). it set me up for the walk up Blakey ridge.Thank you. P”
