We had just down a beautiful walk from Rosedale Abbey up onto the moorland, so in need of hot drinks and some substance we headed in to this café. We visited here years ago and remembered how warm, welcoming and delicious the cakes were and it still is. We arrived at 11.20am got the last available table, it seemed to be full of locals, so the staff were more attentive towards them! We were given the breakfast menu but by the time a member of staff took our order it was 11.30am I asked for the scrambled eggs without the salmon and she had to check with the kitchen if we could have breakfast & whether I could have the eggs on their own, luckily it was a yes as lunch isn't served until 12 noon. Well the scrambled eggs were the best I have ever had and as for my husband's bacon sandwich it was large and served in a wonderful looking roll. Well worth stopping here if you can get a table, it is ever so popular.

Every time we are in Yorkshire we have breakfast at graze on the green. We are yet to be disappointed with great food, Yorkshire tea and polite helpful friendly staff. You leave feeling it will not really matter if you have nothing else to eat today tomorrow this week . Look forward to our next visit already.

ABSOLUTELY SAVAGE cafe! COVID has separated the cafe wheat from the chaff and these guys are the standard in North Yorkshire as far as our 1 week trip goes. Couldn't believe our luck after 4hr walk to stumble on this place with toilets, heaters, umbrellas in the rain — ordered epic rarebit with chips, beers, cakes...even got a sausage sandwich for the dog. God save this beautiful place, I will defend it with my life. Give them your money.

Visited on a rainy Yorkshire day and this place put a smile on our faces. Warm, cosy fire and friendly, welcoming service. Cakes & scones to die for! Also had the soup which was delicious and looked so lovely. We shall definitely visit again soon!

Absolutely delightful little village cafe/tea room. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. The food is absolutely delicious. The menu never fails to disappoint. The sweet treats they have available are just mouthwatering to look at and even better to choose a couple of things and try them at home with a cup of tea!

Came highly recommended for the cooked breakfast and it didnt disappoint. Beautiful location with a range of breakfasts along with some beautiful looking cakes. Worth calling ahead to book a table, particularly if its wet. If dry the outside area is a great place to be

If you're undecided between getting something sweet or savoury here, go for sweet. The savoury food is good, but the cakes are out of this world. I had the Plum Bakewell tart and it was better than any desert I've had for at least five years! Delicious. The staff are friendly and it has a lovely atmosphere.

Lovely weather means the tea garden was great. Staff were absolutely faultless. Bakewell is highly recommended. Great coffee and dog friendly. All situated overlooking an ancient town Square/triangle. The only improvement would suggest is go out of season, assuming it's open, as the traffic is the only thing distracting from this idyllic little scene.

We called for lunch on Saturday. Yes it was the day of the Rosedale Show. We sat outside and there was only one other couple in the garden. We ordered and then the tables started to fill up and were all occupied. Two of our party ordered the rarebit, one a sandwich and I ordered a sausage bap. We also ordered two side dishes and drinks. My bap was very dry, two sausages on a massive bap. Whilst eating our lunch a lady a younger lady a boy and a baby in a pushchair came into the garden. There was no tables free and a waitress told them people had only just got their food so advised they came back in half an hour. They didn’t move and it was uncomfortable as they stood and watched every mouthful we were eating. The younger lady went and bought a banana in a brown paper bag and said in a loud voice the children were very hungry so needed something to eat now. It felt very uncomfortable so we ate up as fast as we could, went to pay and left immediately. I do think if the outside area is full people should not be have access to come in. We always come here when visiting Rosedale but today it was very disappointing and rushed. We also noticed people that were not customers were using the toilets so diners had to wait. Will visit again but will sit inside.

We went for breakfast prior to the rosedale show which was probably a big mistake…all those amazing food stalls wasted. The breakfast was just too fantastic and filling we had no space for food stalls! The Best Brekky in North Yorkshire! But if you think the breakfast is good wait til you try the cakes…we have been here 3 or 4 times since we stumbled across it a few years ago. Each time the cakes have been exceptional! This year (we ended up having them for tea/supper) we tried the plum Bakewell (just wow) chocolate torte and brownie….quite simply stunning. Amazing place!

By 'eck! What a gem of a place we stumbled on today! Saw it advertised after using Google to look for ideas. The rarebit is literally, to die for. The chicken and salami sandwich is to die for. The bacon butties are to die for and the chips are to die for. Yes - we were in heaven. We couldn't possibly have eaten any of the yummy cakes unfortunately but we will definitely be back. And for three people, huge lunches, pot of tea, two coffees and a soft drink, we all agreed £40 was very acceptable indeed! We had to wait half an hour for a table as we hadn't booked but spent time in the lovely church in the village so it wasn't an issue at all. Parking is a take a chance scenario but there's always somebody leaving a space isn't there! Thank you to the staff who made us feel very welcome and who provided such lovely food.?

Had a delicious and generous breakfast with a really good strong coffee, have had a number of excellent take away meals from here but after a good walk decided to eat in the garden for a change. It’s lovely and the staff are friendly and attentive. Had to also take away some of their outrageously good home baked bits!
