I just want to thank the very kind customer and David and Barry for finding my bracelet that I lost today. I am honestly overwhelmed that it was found and I can’t thank you all enough. We shop here most weeks and all the staff are helpful and kind. Keep up the great work.

What a gem of a find. Step back in time folks. You will love the homemade cooking and delightful ambiance of this wee tea room at the back of the post office. The "medley" was amazing with the softest of bread and awesome pork pie... and much more.

We stopped off for a spot of lunch as we were staying locally. The whole team were so incredibly welcoming, we sat outside with the two dogs though they would have been welcome inside as well. We both had ploughman’s which is one of the best we’ve ever had. Fantastic selection of three cheeses, pork pie, chutney and many more. All home made and you could tell. We will be back for afternoon tea when next staying as they are all homemade as well. What a find.

We came as a family last Sunday and couldn’t believe how cute the little building was on the outside and transported you back in time when you stepped into the tea parlour. Our host was Stacey who was really friendly, funny and attentive. We decided to go get a selection of the classic afternoon tea and savoury afternoon tea- both were so tasty and made to order. The bread for the sandwiches was so soft, the fillings especially the egg mayonnaise was creamy and not eggy in the slightest. The cheese scones and pork pie were delightful too (Stacey told their secret to making the cheese scones so light and fluffy). The onion marmalade was so moorish we ended up buying a bottle to take home. The classic afternoon tea was also delicious with everything being well presented, sweet but not too sweet and plentiful (we took a doggy bag home). The presentation of our afternoon teas was lovely and we loved the china as it dates back from the early 1900s and some from the mid-late 1800s. I have to say that this is the best afternoon tea I’ve had in the U.K. and after travelling and living abroad. It is definitely worth booking going, you won’t regret it and I can’t wait to go back!

Excellent Afternoon Tea - everything freshly prepared and the scones straight out of the oven. Copious amounts of tea and coffee, thanks to Stacey and Dini for excellent service and food.

When we walked by this on our way into Pickering we could never imagined what a treasure we would find inside. It was great that we could take our well behaved dog in with us. The layout gave us plenty of room and the staff were so dog friendly. Now we have been to many “tea rooms” or “parlours” but never found a true parlour. This place was just that. We were sat in the old parlour of the house surrounded by history, well presented memorabilia and a beautiful warmth of what a parlour should have. The tea, the 1940’s antique tea sets and the incredible cakes were outstanding and massively exceeded our expectations. A truly joyful experience that created a forever memory for us. A huge thanks to everyone at the Middleton Post Office Tea Parlour.

We were staying nearby for a long weekend and booked a takeaway afternoon tea. When I went to collect, the team were so friendly and the setting had a wonderful charm. We ordered the gluten free afternoon tea (to my joy as this is rarely an option for me to have when out and about) and it was wonderful! Lovely sandwiches with a choice of fillings - which we chose when we ordered. The bread used was soft and didn't taste gluten free. We also has scones with jam and clotted cream and a selection of cakes and fruit. The whole experience, from ordering, to the service to the food was wonderful. We'll definitely return when we're next in the area.

Another brilliant visit for afternoon tea. Excellent service, brilliant, friendly staff. You need to book as small premises, you will not be disappointed with a visit.

Visited recently as staying in the area. My wife loves afternoon tea and so we thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed. My wife had the traditional afternoon tea with sandwiches on fresh bread with 2 lovely scones, jam and clotted cream. Also a fruits cup of fresh fruit and some other cake. She loved it. I had the savoury medley. Probably the best pork pie I have ever tasted, ham sandwiches and a cheese scone with caramelised onion relish and cream cheese. Scone was hot, and again really nice. A fantastic afternoon tea, very quaint setting and friendly staff. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again if in the area. Food and drinks served in old fashioned china cups and plates which really set it off lovely.

Recently visited this place on a holiday in the area. We booked in advance as its not a large venue. We had assorted cakes with a couple of pots of tea. All cakes, scones etc were all excellent. As a baker myself I do like to try out tea rooms. This place was not disappointing, all thoroughly enjoyed the experience especially with the tablecloths crocheted. Lots of tea pots and china cups hung up and lots of quaint tea related memorabilia. Background music was wonderful, gently not rowdy ideal for a tea room.
