The chocolate all looked great, we were offered a sample which also tasted great. However, the staff member working on the afternoon of the 20th of September was completely rude to us and other customers in the shop so we left without making a purchase.It's a shame she ruined the experience of a lovely shop and opportunity to buy GF and diary free chocolate.

Lovely chocolate and a great selection but when we went to Thornton Le Dale on Sunday 18th Sept the lady on the counter was rude and soured the visit quite a lot. We spent a fair amount of money and had someone with us who is Gluten intolerant so was delighted with the fact that everything is Gluten free but the staff member ruined the excitement

This is based on our visit on our holiday about four years ago. Vegan and dairy chocolate is nice! Good location in a quaint village and scenery. But from these recent reviews I've seen, don't think I'll be back in a hurry.

I visited the Hutton le Hole shop, great chocolates made on site, even got to see a few being made! Staff went the extra mile by giving me a plaster for my cut finger. Would recommend ?

As per other reviews, just wanted to confirm that the woman behind the counter still has an attitude issue!! Extremely rude and unhelpful when asking about dairy free chocolate and showing an interest in the story behind the chocolate. Certainly won’t be returning and regret spending so much money!

I will not shop for chocolate that's being sold by a company that still states they make "Diabetic Chocolate", when it's been illegal to label any foods as "Diabetic" or "Suitable for diabetics" since 2016.

My friend and I visited the chocolate shop today, lovley shop and wanted to buy some chocolate, the lady behind the counter is so rude, we walked out, won't return if she is there!!
Visited the Chocolate shop at Walton-le-dale today. Lady behind the counter was extremely rude, despite the fact that we spent £57.00 in the shop. Checked the bags when we arrived back home and discovered that she had failed to put 12 individual chocolates in our bag, even though we have been charged for them. The chocolates look lovely but the service and attitude was terrible. Wont be visiting again
