I cannot believe this place has such good reviews...Wouldn't normally make a review but this actually ruined our family night in.The fish was soggy and bland. The chips were undercooked. After a few bites we could not eat anymore and ended up chucking in the bin.I asked and paid for large curry and large peas and was given small pots.Staff were rude and incompetent. No queuing system and was serving people like a pub even though it was busy.Waste of money. This place was actually recommended so we thought we would try it out.Never again.

We tried sea breeze today and was pleasantly surprised. Two of us are vegans and wanted to try the banana blossom 'fish' and chips. There was a short wait as it was cooked fresh in a separate fryer (you can ring ahead), even the salt and vinegar was kept separate but it was so worth it. It felt amazing to enjoy a meal with the rest of our family without it being a completely different meal. Can't wait to visit again.

I would recommend calling your order in before arriving if it's going to be a large order. This will minimise your wait time. They are the only gluten-free chip shop in Redcar and Cleveland area. The food is always consistently very good.Kid-friendliness: Kids happy meal box

As someone who was brought up here, works here and has had many (failed) romances here, it's safe to say that fish and chips are of utmost importance to the residents of Redcar and Cleveland. For my money, Sea Breeze provides *the* best battered cod in the area. This offsets the rather steep price (an issue nationwide; not just here) as well as the long wait times (because it's so popular). I've had both variants of the 'large' cod and chips, and each time the unbelievably amazing taste leaves me wanting more. Excellent.

I have recently moved back to the area after many years away and was so happy what used to be my local chippy still there and awsome. Thank you.

Called off here for a bite to eat whilst passing through, we wish now we had just passed through without stopping. Portion size was plenty enough for us but the chips tasted strange and looked under cooked, also the mushy peas looked anemic they were very pail in colour and tasteless. Sorry we wouldn't recommend and won't be calling off there again..

Popped in tonight for tea at the seaside . The young man who served us is a bonus to you. All the staff are lovely but he certainly lightens the mood and is respectful of everyone he spoke to. The fish and chips was of a high standard as usual . Thank you

Fantastic food. Every time we come home to visit, my daughter insists we have our tea here and she is right, perfect meal and very reasonable prices. Thank you

I've just about tried every chippy in Redcar and, in my opinion this is the best place for fish and chips. The portions are generous and even though the queue is mostly out the door and going down the road, you don't really have to wait very long to be served. There are lots of young people working there. I see them working their asses off! I hope they are paid well. The fish and chips are cooked in beef dripping and they are delicious. The peas are very nice but the curry sauce is horrible. I've never had such nasty curry sauce. The menu has options for vegans and pescatarians but no pies unfortunately.

Visited this evening and got fish n chips twice and a fish cake and chips. The chips were nice, however the size of the fish on mine was nothing short of disgraceful. I had a small sachet of tomato ketchup in my car which I used as a guide to fully appreciate how small my fish was Will not return in a million years

Maybe the best fish and chips I've had in a while and the mushy peas were also delicious I make my own usually but these had a lovely sweet nutty taste no wonder this eatery has won awards

I have just recently been diagnosed with coeliac disease and found that sea breeze do gluten free fish and chips. I phoned in advance of my visit, they took my order and when I arrived I only had to wait a few minutes for my order. I was really hoping these gluten free fish and chips would be just like normal one's, they were absolutely beautiful, the fish was really white and fell apart, the batter was lovely just as the chips were too. Whats even better is that I can still enjoy this seaside treat with my family and it won't make me feel poorly. I definitely recommend this fish and chip shop and will be visiting again ?Parking: Bit of a worry parking near the shop as it's double yellow lines

Most occasions when we have been to sea breeze the food has been good.Really good menu for Gluten Free. Separate frier for gluten free food, with separate tools and preparation area.Staff are really friendly but efficient to get the queues down when busy. We've always had service with a smile
