I felt very warm and cosy atmosphere from the staff. The food is very fresh and delicious. I had a wonderful time from my special treat holidays.

Had a very poor experience here tonight. We have been here many times before in the last few years and this was previously our Go to restaurant. The portion size was half at best what it was used to be . We paid our bill, in full, but mentioned to the waitress how small the dishes were. The waitress felt irritated by this comment and was very rude. We asked to the chef who ackknowled he has cut the size of the dishes due to increased costs. we had paid over £8O for the meal, and said had we known he had cut the dish by 50% (King prawn wth Scallops) we would have ordered something else or eaten elsewhere, He just shrugge his shoulders and walked away, I put a review on his site and he closed it down, after acknowledging that the size of the meals had been cut, but then suggesitng I had been rude and abusive to his waitress, This was an unforgivable lie as I was and am always polite with everyone at all times.

Went here with my partner while on a weekend trip to Scarborough. The staff were very friendly and gave their suggestions on what was best on the menu. I got the plaice with crab meat and my partner ordered the half lobster with scallops. Both were very tasty and well priced. We'll definitely be back next time we visit Scarborough.

Nice place, had high hopes but food a bit disappointing, fishcakes overcooked, sauce on main was cold, forgot to bring veg, waitresses very nice but rushed of their feet, we were in and out in an hour, felt rushed so left feeling sick and bloated.

Went on new years eve and expected a nice relaxing meal then home to let new year in...instead was only in there for one hour, 3 courses thrown at us one after the other, waitresses rushing about gave me indigestion, fishcakes hard and overcooked, sauce on main meal was stone cold as was my husbands, forgot our veg so had to ask but when it came it was hot but by then we had nearly finished our meal. Ended up leaving feeling really sick and bloated due to eating 3 courses so quickly.

The environment and service were very good. Our party chose food from the lower price menu (This might have been something to do with the problem). We ordered 3 x Yorkshire Brie & Mushroom - all 3 were under-cooked, the brie was still cold and hard in the center. Followed by mains; all served on only slightly warm plates which made the food cold. After being highly satisfied with this restaurant for years this is the first time we have not been pleased.

Visited on a recommendation, very thankful it was recommended. Service was impeccable, food was delicious and utterly faultless, portions were good and for the amazing quality the price was good. We absolutely loved our food, and our visit. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this wonderful place to anyone, and if I’m ever back in Scarborough, it will be top of my list of places to head too.

We ate at Cafe Fish for the first time last night and it was just fantastic. As a coeliac, eating out can sometimes be a bit of a trial, so being able to choose from such an extensive GF menu absolutely delighted me. All four of our dishes looked great and tasted amazing. Thank you so much. Now we've discovered you, we will DEFINITELY see you again. Wholeheartedly recommended.Dietary restrictions: I'm Coeliac and they have an extensive, separate GF menu

Our first visit to Cafe Fish in Scarborough was just fantastic. A huge selection of dishes on offer. As a coeliac, eating out can sometimes be a bit of a trial, so being able to choose from a separate and extensive GF menu absolutely delighted me. Even having GF bread and butter on the table was a lovely extra touch. All four of our dishes - two starters, two mains - looked beautiful and tasted amazing. Now we've discovered you, we will DEFINITELY see you again.

The ambience, food and service were amazing. The only real criticism I have is that the main was served too soon after the starter, literally a couple of minutes after. Personally I prefer a little longer.

Kid-friendliness: Ate early to suit our young boys and staff were fantastic in accommodating them. Children's menu and very nice atmosphere, helped by fellow diner's as well.
