A PROPER Pub. These places seem few and far between these days. The landlord, and all the staff, are incredibly friendly and just want to please their customers. A fantastic selection of real ales for this lapsed CAMRA member and lots of other drinks available to satiate any taste. Plenty of TV screens for the sport but not overly loud that you can't have a conversation with your group or partner, Well decorated and light and airy but still has that pub feel. By far the cleanest best kept bar in town, great staff and a great landlord only let down by the football team he supports!!!! Loads of guest beers all well kept and very popular. A great well kept wet house where people go to watch the sport and have a natter will be returning soon

From the outside this bar looks average. Inside much larger than expected, very welcoming an comfortable with a really good selection of beer, lager and cider, including Theaksons Old Peculiar. Worth a visit.
